Tunisia launched tenders for soft wheat and feed barley, while Jordan and South Korea completed fresh grain purchases.

🇹🇳 Tunisia tenders for 125,000 tonnes of soft wheat and 75,000 tonnes of feed barley

Tunisia’s state grains agency issued an international tender to purchase about 125,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat and around 75,000 tonnes of animal feed barley, according to European traders.

⚠️ Tunisia again warned that purchases are from optional origins. Sellers offering Black Sea grain may not invoke force majeure because of disruptions linked to the war in Ukraine and must source grain from alternative origins if Black Sea supplies are unavailable.


🇯🇴 Jordan buys about 60,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat

Jordan’s state grain buyer purchased about 60,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat from optional origins in an international tender, according to traders.

Buildcom’s reported offer was the lowest among the prices disclosed by traders.


🇰🇷 South Korea’s KOCPIA buys corn

South Korea’s Korea Corn Processing Industry Association (KOCPIA) purchased corn in an international tender seeking about 55,000–60,000 tonnes, according to European traders.

📌 Key details:

  • Buyer: KOCPIA, South Korea
  • Commodity: corn
  • Volume sought: 55,000–60,000 tonnes
  • Volume purchased: not yet confirmed, but believed to be close to the volume sought
  • Seller: reportedly POSCO
  • Price: $304.70/tonne C&F
