🇰🇷 South Korea’s FLC buys up to 65,000 tonnes of feed corn

South Korea’s Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) purchased up to 65,000 tonnes of animal feed corn in an international tender, with supply expected from South America or South Africa, according to European traders.

💰 Pricing structure:

• 40,000 tonnes: $292.67/tonne C&F
• Additional surcharge: $1.50/tonne for extra port unloading
• Remaining volume: premium of 200.92 US cents/bushel C&F over the Chicago March 2027 Corn Contract

If the corn is sourced from South Africa, only 50,000 tonnes need to be supplied.

🚢 Shipment periods by origin:

• U.S. Pacific Northwest: November 11 – December 10
• U.S. Gulf: October 22 – November 20
• South America: October 17 – November 15
• South Africa: November 1 – November 30

The tender reflects continued South Korean feed grain buying interest, with pricing split between a fixed outright value and a futures-linked premium.
