Algeria’s state grains agency OAIC issued an international tender to purchase soft milling wheat from optional origins, according to European traders.

Although the tender seeks a nominal 50,000 tonnes, Algeria often purchases significantly larger volumes than initially indicated.
🌍 Algeria remains one of the world’s largest wheat importers. The country has traditionally been an important destination for EU wheat, particularly from France, while Russia and other Black Sea exporters have expanded their presence in the Algerian market.
French wheat has been excluded from recent tenders amid political tensions between France and Algeria.
🇹🇷 Turkey confirms purchase of 12,000 tonnes of crude sunflower oil
Turkey’s state grain board TMO officially confirmed the purchase of around 12,000 tonnes of crude sunflower oil following its international tender.

- Pamyag: 3,000 tonnes at $1,408.50/tonne C&F

Sunflower oil already stored in customs-bonded warehouses in Turkey was eligible for delivery under the tender, while domestic supplies were excluded.
