Taiwan’s flour millers purchased 97,200 tonnes of U.S. milling wheat in two consignments, covering dark northern spring, hard red winter and soft white wheat.

🇹🇼 Taiwan buys 97,200 tonnes of U.S. milling wheat

The Taiwan Flour Millers' Association purchased an estimated 97,200 tonnes of U.S. milling wheat in an international tender, according to European traders.

The purchase covers several wheat classes and was divided into two consignments for shipment from the U.S. Pacific Northwest in October and November.

📌 First consignment: 49,350 tonnes

Shipment: October 24 – November 7
Dark Northern Spring Wheat: 29,750 tonnes
Protein: minimum 14.5%
Price: $314.16/tonne FOB
Hard Red Winter Wheat: 12,650 tonnes
Protein: minimum 12.5%
Price: $317.09/tonne FOB
Soft White Wheat: 6,950 tonnes
Protein: minimum 8.5%, maximum 10%
Price: $260.88/tonne FOB
Ocean freight: $49.28/tonne

📌 Second consignment: 47,850 tonnes

Shipment: November 26 – November 28
Dark Northern Spring Wheat: 29,450 tonnes
Protein: minimum 14.5%
Price: $319.67/tonne FOB
Hard Red Winter Wheat: 11,650 tonnes
Protein: minimum 12.5%
Price: $319.09/tonne FOB
Soft White Wheat: 6,750 tonnes
Protein: minimum 8.5%, maximum 10%
Price: $260.88/tonne FOB
Ocean freight: $50.74/tonne

🚢 Both cargoes will be shipped from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast to Taiwan.
