🇰🇷 South Korean flour mills tender for 100,000 tonnes of U.S. and Canadian wheat

A group of South Korean flour mills issued an international tender to purchase an estimated 100,000 tonnes of milling wheat from the United States and Canada, according to European traders.

The previous reported wheat purchase by South Korean flour mills took place on August 6.

📈 Traders said some Asian importers had delayed purchases after wheat prices reached their highest level in more than three years in August and September amid severe disruptions to Russian and Ukrainian Black Sea grain exports.

Buying interest is now beginning to return as wheat prices remain firm and a Black Sea peace agreement remains elusive.

🇹🇷 Turkey’s TMO tenders for 12,000 tonnes of crude sunflower oil

Turkey’s state grain agency TMO issued a tender to purchase 12,000 tonnes of crude sunflower oil.

• Commodity: crude sunflower oil
• Volume: 12,000 tonnes
• Tender deadline: September 10
• Delivery period: September 21–October 16
• Delivery ports: Mersin or Iskenderun

🌻 The tender comes amid a relatively stable Turkish sunflower oil market. Ukrainian sunflower oil for September delivery was offered at around $1,410/tonne CIF Mersin, while buyer interest remained limited.

📊 TMO’s previous sunflower oil tender was held in April, when the agency provisionally booked 12,000 tonnes at around $1,417/tonne CFR. That level is only slightly above current Ukrainian sunflower oil offers into Mersin.
